MSNBC and Telemundo will co-host a town hall with Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders in Las Vegas on Feb. 18, two days before Nevada Democrats hold presidential caucuses, I've confirmed. The state party will partner with the networks on the event that is sure to draw distinctions on key Nevada issues and those important to Latinos. Hispanic turnout was 14 percent in the 2008 Nevada caucuses, according to exit polls. Yes: We matter.

Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve, a nonpartisan who rarely endorses, has embraced her longtime friend, Devon Reese, the Democratic attorney seeking Greg Brower's state Senate seat. Schieve is at the top of a fundraiser next month for Reese, who is considered an underdog to Heidi Gansert, the GOP hopeful and former assemblywoman and gubernatorial chief of staff seeking the key swing seat. (Businessman Eugene Hoover, a Republican, and Dennis Hof, the Libertarian brothel kingpin, also are running.) After putting out a news release last month implying the utility supported a 20-year hold harmless period from new rates for rooftop solar customers and then presenting a filing that essentially argued that regulators should not do so, NV Energy has filed supplemental testimony indicating it backs the long grace period.

A headline, a short paragraph about the motion in a case about a case involving the paper's owner, Sheldon Adelson, and no elaboration or background.
