Democratic poll shows CD3 is up for grabs
The two likely nominees for the right to succeed Rep. Joe Heck are in a dead heat, according to a poll taken by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. The survey, taken last week, shows synagogue chief Jacky Rosen ahead of state Senate Majority Leader Michael Roberson, 30 percent to 29 percent. The poll of 403 CD3 voters has a margin of error of 4.9 percent.
Sanders likely flips two delegates after dominating Clark convention
Despite losing the state on Feb. 20 in the caucus, Bernie Sanders' campaign swarmed the Clark County caucus and probably flipped two delegates from Hillary Clinton's camp.
Bernie vs. Hillary boils over in Nevada before Clark convention
The Hillary Clinton campaign has sent a letter to Clark County Democratic Party officials demanding the removal of the credentials chairman for Saturday's convention that will choose delegates to the state convention next month who could go to Philadelphia this summer.
Cruz calling possible delegates to Washoe GOP convention
Two days before the Washoe County Republican Party convention, Ted Cruz's campaign is calling delegates, who could go on to the state and then national conventions. 1. Very smart. No sign of Trump. (UPDATED: One delegate told me Trump is indeed making calls.) 2. Very painful to hear the Cruz operative mangle the name of the state. "It's time for Ne-vah-duh Republicans to unite behind Ted Cruz...." Ugh. Message attached here.
Ballotpedia on NV legislative races
The great folks over at Ballotpedia have produced some stats about Nevada's legislative races, which they have kindly shared with me and I now, equally kindly, share with you. I still have to get used to 24-17-1 in the Assembly, although that will change after Libertarian John Moore is erased in November. Check it out (UPDATED WITH CHART, 12:30 PM, 3/31/16):
Poll done for Tarkanian shows him well ahead in congressional race, and it makes sense
Danny Tarkanian is dominating the GOP primary field in the race for Rep. Joe Heck's seat, an unsurprising result based on his overwhelming name recognition that has often buoyed him early in previous contests. The survey, taken by Tarkanian campaign firm Chariot LLC, shows Tarkanian at 37 percent, followed by Assemblywoman Michele Fiore at 11 percent and state Senate Majority Leader Michael Roberson at 9 percent. The others candidates barely registered.
Angle backers: Don't let the election be stolen from Sharron again
State lawmakers Brent Jones and Don Gustavson, who with Sharron Angle's blessing, have been urging her to run for the U.S. Senate again, assert in a new solicitation that Harry Reid stole the election from her in 2010.
Reid rejects congressional candidate's claim that he told him not run because he's Muslim
If a candidate wanted to run for a prominent office and that person were a Muslim, in this Trumpian world, wouldn’t you advise the prospective officeholder of the attacks that would come?
Roberson: I'm not Rory Reid!
Congressional hopeful Michael Roberson has responded to a complaint filed by a friend of one of his opponents, claiming that he has done nothing wrong and insisting the complaint itself is deficient.
