Old Vegas comes through again for Lowden

First, we had the hint that lieutenant governor's contender Sue Lowden was tapping into her old Vegas network.

Now more evidence as her second event wll be at a place that is redolent of old Vegas: Piero's, owned by Freddie Glusman, who is on her host committee.

There's a lot of money here, too, including her good pals the Weidners (Bill used to be Sheldon Adelson's lieutenant and Lynn goes back to New Jersey with fellow beauty queen Lowden), boxing promoter Bob Arum and developer Mark Fine. Some extra-Nevada royalty, too, as San Diego Charger boss Dean Spanos and producer Burt Sugarman are on the invite

Lowden will raise a lot of money early and will lead in all of the early polling. Can she sustain it?

This will be the most fun LG race in history, especially after the Democrats settle on a candidate.
